Happy Blogiversary!!

It is hard to believe that I have had this blog for a year, and is so hard to believe that this time last year I was newly pregnant, and now I have this little person in my life that I can't live without! The blog is so much more fun now that I can post about my peanut rather than the woes of pregnancy!! I must say I am really enjoying the whole blog thing, and I am loving reading others blogs even more.

Oh, and I have a new found respect for single parents out there! This past weekend Grace Taylor and I went to Seabrook, just us girls. I knew it would be a little tough, but that is quite the understatement. Traveling in the car 3 1/2 hours with a baby was the easy part. It was moving everything into the 2nd floor condo with a baby on my hip that was difficult!! I am newly inspired to decorate the "villa" in a beach cottage theme so I had lots of little stuff to move in. It was fun, but I am happy to be home and can't wait for my hubby to get back from Connecticut!! Miss you love! The picture of GT in her Dodger onesie is for you! We miss you!

Happy Valentine's Day & Happy 5 Months

Lots to celebrate!!  Of course I love Valentine's Day, and now I am pretty sure baby Grace does too!  Daddy gave us both the most beautiful pale pink roses - LOVE it.  We went to Ikea and bought new chairs for the beach - LOVE it.  We had my favorite, sushi for dinner - LOVE it, and we treated ourselves to a red velvet cupcake from SAS cupcakes- LOVE, LOVE it.

Also we are celebrating 5 months of precious life for little Grace Taylor.  I can hardly believe it!  Today she weighs 16 lbs and is 26 inches long.  She has lots of hair that sticks straight up, and the biggest most beautiful blue eyes.  She has chubbilicious pink cheeks, and a long tongue that she can't seem to get enough of.  She sticks any and everything in her mouth, and is starting to sleep more and more everyday.  It's amazing that I ever lived without her.  My heart is exploding with joy.

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Birthday Baby Grace!!

* Special thanks to G-Ma for the adorable heart sweater.  Grace wore it to church and got many compliments in the nursery.  Thanks you!!

Seabrook Project

I know, I know, can you believe I am posting about something other than my sweet little peanut??!!

Well, it has been a year now since we closed on our tiny little villa at the beach.  I am not quite sure what we were thinking when we purchased the little fixer-upper!  I guess we were thinking I wasn't I pregnant (found out 2 weeks post closing) and we knew a thing or two about remodeling.  Ha!  The truth is we were clueless.   It has been a fun journey, and a learning process to say the least.  I am looking forward to "phase 2" as T.J. calls it which we are beginning next month.  I am posting the before pictures as a little tease.  The place was pretty outdated and the seller left everything from the kitchen table to toothpaste expiring in 1995!  We really had to completely gut the place and start over.   We are headed down tomorrow and I will take some new pictures and update you on what phase 2 will entail.  I am grateful for our little find, and I know little Grace is going to love spending her Summers here!  Oh, I forgot to tell TJ, now that I am a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom), Grace and I plan on spending our entire summer living in our bathing suits at our villa by the sea!  Man, I am craving the beach!!
