Snow in the South

Well, this weekend Charlotte geared up for Blizzard 2010!!  Although, we did get a little snow it fell quite short of our expectations.  Looking forward to being snowed in for the weekend, we stayed in our jammies, watched movies and ate homemade chicken white chilli with cornbread!  Yummm!!!  Also, we appropriately snuck in some snowflake shaped sugar cookies.  All in all, it was a pretty low key weekend.

Christmas 2009

This year was my the best Christmas ever!!  For the first time T.J. and I were able to spend Christmas with both sides of our family.  There was a lot of back and forth, a lot of family, a lot of meals,  and a lot of love!

A Graceful Baptism

We pulled off the most beautiful, wonderful, and of course "graceful" baptism ever and we did it in 3 days!  My mother in law called me mid-week to tell me that we could have Grace Taylor baptized that Sunday while my whole family was in town.  We had been tossing around the idea, but thought there was little chance it would happen since the church does not allow baptisms in December and the children's nativity was that Sunday.  Fortunately, and by the grace of God we were not only able to have our sweet little one baptized, but she was also asked to play the role of Baby Jesus in the nativity.  What a proud momma I was!!!  I wish I could say that she displayed an oscar worthy performance as Baby Jesus, but I would be lying.  It was only half way though "Away in a Manger," she decided she was over that manger and she started wailing!!  No crying he makes... Haha,  at least she wasn't boring.    Oh, and the best part (actually the worst part) was the associate pastor told me to go up there and hold her.  So there I sat in the middle of the sweet little nativity amongst all of the little angels and baby lambs ruining the children's nativity and feeling extremely uncomfortable.
